Primary Responsibilities:

● Run a lathe to machine and build parts

● Machine other items as necessary
● Maintain and clean work area and shop equipment

Qualifications/Skills:

● Mechanical ability

● Willing to work overtime as needed to complete projects and meet deadlines

The job of machinist can be physically demanding and is more than just standing in front of a lathe. You must have the physical ability to lift heavy tools and operate those tools to disassemble pumps in the shop. Most o f the machine work is done on an older manual lathe, not on a CNC machine. It is important to have innate mechanical aptitude to be able to grasp the everyday tasks required. As you gain experience machining pump parts there will be opportunity to take classes and receive training on pump design and installation.

Primary Responsibilities :

● Drive and operate a pump rig
● Troubleshoot pump assemblies
● Properly install and remove column assemblies for pumps
● Perform preventative maintenance on pump rigs and service trucks
● Maintain documentation
● Prepare and keep a maintenance log for assigned vehicles and equipment

Qualifications / Skills:
● 2+ years experience with turbine pumps

● 2+ years experience running a pump rig
● 2+ years experience running a boom truck
● 2+ years experience managing a crew of 2-3
● Current class A (with airbrakes) CDL
● Experience wiring pump motors
● Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems on equipment and pumps
● Experience or willingness to learn troubleshooting and repair of submersible pumps
● Willingness to work overtime as needed to complete jobs in progress
● Willingness to travel within 200 miles and stay overnight as needed to complete jobs
● Must follow all safety processes and procedures
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to accept feedback productively
● Willingness to learn and adapt to change
● Thoroughness and attention to detail

● Willingness to travel within 200 miles and stay overnight as needed to complete jobs

Our Work Environment

The job of assistant rig operator is physically demanding. You must have the physical ability to lift heavy tools and operate those tools to disassemble pumps and column assemblies. It is also important to have some innate mechanical aptitude to be able to grasp the everyday tasks required. You will be working closely with an experienced rig operator.

● Tear down and reassemble centrifugal pumps and split-case pumps
● Maintain and clean work area and shop equipment
● Use equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose motor problems

● Willing to work overtime as needed to complete projects and meet deadlines

● Thoroughness and attention to detail

● Track time and materials in job tracking software
